When I grocery shop, I am shopping for 3 people. My mom, my self and my daughter. I have to meet every body’s dietary wants and needs. Today my grocery basket was full of only foods that this whole foodie would eat. I normally have some processed foods and bread items too, (for my family) but not today. My basket was filled with dried beans, (chic peas, split peas, and kidney beans) fruit, vegetables, natural peanut butter, potatoes, garlic, brown brown rice, some Lemon Lara Bars and… The point is, it’s starts with your grocery basket and then what you have in your kitchen. The one night I went off my plan, I would have eaten all the sugary items in the house, but I didn’t have any, so I didn’t eat any. I can’t forget, that I’m not just an over eater, I have a sugar addition. I can honestly say that after, 2 months, I feel as though I have changed me eating habits, but with any addiction, it’s a slippery slope.
Side note, I had found the Lemon LaraBars at this grocery store and I really like them but they stopped carrying them. I went twice to the manager, different managers each time, and requested they carry the lemon bars again. Much to my delight, I saw them from a half an isle away. It often works when you ask for what you want and don’t give up.
